Well you do know that schnauzers (all sizes) CANNOT start their day until "owner" wakes up to let them out for a potty and then PROMPTLY feeds them breakfast  Devil

Willow,

That's funny! With my imagination... it looked like a little grizzly bear standing on its hind legs. I see now that it's a drink coaster that looked like the base!

Gi Gi sleeps on the bed...Rocko in his crate....until I know he can handle sleeping on the bed without crashing to the floor or having an accident in the night...then all bets are off and he's fighting for space too.....Gi Gi is a MAJOR bed hog!!  Pig

hahaha I thought it was a bear also Peter!  Zuza is very good about sleeping at our feet but Alpha has to be physically touching my body so I end up snuggled on both sides and stuck in one position. I am not looking forward to this summer i'll probably sweat to death.

I don't think it will be a problem!

Dogs move away from heat when it's hot just as they move toward it when it's cold. When it's a little warm at night, Muka gets out of his bed altogether and streches out beside it.

See what I wrote about The Thermometer Dog!

I don't know what changed, but recently Nitro has started cuddling in the morning.  Hubby gets up early, does the newpaper run, feeds Nitro, then the pup is back in bed with me.  He used to curl up close to my husband's pillow, but now he's snuggling into my back or on my feet.  LOVE IT.  Even tho I can't roll over!  Sometimes he will even stay on the bed until I've had my breakfast and come back into the bedroom to get dressed.  I think we're all entitled to a lazy day now and again. We swore we were not going to let these two sleep in the bed with us.  Well, Kaizer sleeps on our pillows and Kyra sleeps right next to me.

Kaizer kicks ALL night long and Kyra snores.  We are either going to have to get a bigger bed, or my husband is going to have to go upstairs and sleep.   Smiley

Finally Jetson is sleeping on the bed. It started the last two times we went camping, we had him on the bed with us and then during this hot spell I told the mister that Jetson would probably be awfully hot in his crate. Devil
Jetson doesn't want to go out in the middle of the night anymore since sleeping with us, so that is a plus.
Jetson crowds me more than Glen, so Glen can't complain about that. There is no going back now. I like having the dog sleep with us, he seems to really be happy about it too, the dog that is.

Morning Debbie,
Raven has slept with me since day 3.....she is so funny.  when it is winter,  I lift up the covers and she crawls under and then curls up to my tummy and after about 10 min.  she sticks her head out, but leaves the rest of her body under the covers.
With the HOT weather we have been having even with the AC running, she has been sleeping on top of the covers, until around 3, then it back under the covers for her.  Sometimes when I wake up she has moved me to the edge of the bed, as she always has to be touching me.
I LOVE IT.  She is spoiled and thinks she is human....I LOVE IT......  she has really setteled down.

Top O' the morning to you too Harriet.
Aw that is so darn sweet. Glen was a tough nut to crack, I would have had Jetson on the bed right away too, but after almost 11 years with our Scottie trying to shove Glen out of bed he said "no way'...

I just love having the dog sleep next to me, I just hope I don't roll over on him or push him off the bed.

That's so cute, Harriet.  Grin

Lotte's still sleeping in her crate for now. I would love to bring her up to my room, but the cat sleeps with me (he's a bed hog!), and since they don't quite get along at the moment... Once Lotte and I are settled in at school though, I'll probably be fighting her for control of my pillow..  Devil

Yeah if Jetson totally had his way he'd be right up on the pillow too, I let him a bit, but I do not like his butt in my face, no matter how much I love him, I gotta draw the line someplace. LOL

I tried drawing that line with the cat... but to no avail. He has me trained to sleep with my back to him. LOL
