That's great you are doing that now Linda.

Boy Willow we sure highjacked your thread!

I got rid of loads of crap years ago I had stored away in boxes, I decided why have things hidden away I never do anything with, use, what have you. But we still have junk all over the place..just ask Sue. Grin

We don't have kids and hardly any nieces and nephews that we even are in much contact with. My husband and I are pretty much hermits and not real social, not even with our families. So nobody is going to be wanting any of our stuff when we die anyway, atleast not for sentimental value.

A friend I use to frequent garage sales with decades ago, she is long since departed. She was aghast at some of the things people would be selling after somebody died and they were cleaning out their house. She said she was going right home and telling all of her family "Under no circumstances were they to be selling her old underwear when she died!!!" I just kept thinking anyway, "Wow, how poor would a person have to be to even have to buy used underwear!" Life is good, I can buy new underwear anytime I want to.

Hey all you hoarders!!LOL

Debbie, the thread wasn't highjacked.. it just evolved.

Linda, what a GREAT thing to do with the kids and pics! Smart thinking!

I only have one son, so he gets to clean up the mess after hubby and I are gone.

Right now, my living room is wiped out because I have stuff from my sis-in-law's apartment scattered all over in piles. Can you believe that there are TWO new sewing machines?? and I couldn't leave either one.. *sheesh..
We got back home tonight about 615 and I'm going over again tomorrow by myself. I work better by myself and make piles of throw-aways for hubby to clean up.

We left Trav at home in his pen today while we were gone.. Boy oh boy, was he happy to see us!! (and we were happy to see him and Bubba).

WHOOOOHOOOO! We hit the jackpot today! Found some paperwork.. marriage/etc certificates! Hubby was soooo pleased. Without going into detail, he NOW knows for sure "who he is, and where he was born"... He's never seen his birth certificate and could only guess at his place of birth and family names.. Now he's happy, I'm happy and our son is kinda happy..lol.. Son went with me today and he was BIG TIME tired after we headed home.
What a GREAT day!

I'm tired too and tomorrow, we do it allll over again..lol

I've always known where I was born, but I'm still working on who I am!

Willow,
Please take care of yourself and don't overdo.  I just can't image having to do that.  But then I couldn't because of my breathing condition.
Glad your son is helping you and Manny out.  Also glad that Manny is so happy.
Are you leaving Trav at home now?  I know he misses you if you are having to do that.
Take care.   Harriet

Harriet, we left Trav at home yesterday because my son went with me. But today, Manny and I took Trav with us.

Trav won't sit or lie down in the apartment.. (I don't blame him..) I don't know if he'll go tomorrow or not, and then Friday is the funeral and he for sure won't be going with us.

Today, the front door was opened and Trav was standing inside the screen door when the postman walked up to the mailbox hanging at the door. With Trav being black, he's difficult to see... OOOOPS! Poor man almost had a stroke when Trav started his big boy "Ima guard-dawg" bark. I really thought the postman was going to faint because there has never been a dog there for over 20 years and Trav erupted in such a frightful noise.  Shocked

Because Trav has gone in the car so much the past two weeks, it's really hard to get him out of the garage now if the garage door is opened..lol.. I can open my car door and he'll get in and just sit there by himself for the longest time.

We took a HUGE load of stuff to St Vincent de Paul Thrift store today and tomorrow there will be more. Manny's friend is bringing a pick-up truck to haul some of the big things. We filled up the apartment's dumpster last week. I'm sure the neighbors were not happy about that. Sad

Not too much longer and our life will be back to normal, and I'm really looking forward to it.  Sun Rainbow

Hope everything is okay with everyone.  I know you have been busy.  But I have missed all the stories and pictures.  Take care.
